Buck Creek
at State Route 60

Q278-24 (Toledo Stanley-Baltimore Curtis Bay) is eastbound near milepost BG187 and is about to pass under the SR 60 bridge in Ruggles Twp., just south of New London, OH. The old B&O uses the valley carved by Buck Creek between West End Nova and Ramey, a distance of about six miles. The railroad uses a fill to lift it over the valley at the Ramey end. 17:30 April 24 2002.

Q138-24 (Chicago 63rd St-Baltimore Penn Mary) is eastbound at the same location a few hours earlier than the photo above. A good deal of rip-rap has been placed here to mitigate flood damage. 14:20 April 24 2002.
