CSXT New Castle Subdivision Images

CSX Train Q138-06 (Chicago 63rd St-Baltimore Penn Mary) is eastbound at 8:00 am on July 6th 2001. He is about to pass under the SR60 bridge along Buck Creek at mp BG187.8 in Ruggles Twp., just south of New London OH. This is one of our favorite regions of the New Castle Subdivision; the West End, where the rail follows Buck Creek and, just five miles west of this location, where westward traffic off of the Greenwich SD joins the westward traffic off of the New Castle SD at Greenwich OH. When camping at the New London Reservoir Park Campground, we can simply sit back and watch all of the Big Four traffic AND easily railfan both subdivisions.

This page is ever-growing as we are still in the process of scanning old images and shooting new ones. We are also always on the lookout for historical pictures to add here. The plan is to rotate photographs of the same location so nobody gets bored. Remember, we live here, so there'll be ample opportunity for changes. If you have a picture you'd like to share with us, please use the promt at the very bottom of this page to send along an email. We'd love to hear from you.
